En su local de Fuencarral 21 trabajó incansablemente la artista Fanny Gonmar (Valdeajos de la Lora, 1922 — Madrid, 2018). Hoy, la Fundación Fanny Gonmar trabaja por cumplir su deseo expreso de preservar este espacio y su patrimonio artístico, integrado por decenas de miles de pinturas, poesías y escritos, en su mayoría inéditos hasta la fecha.
 Tras una vida como maestra de escuela entre su Burgos natal y México, Fanny Gonmar se instaló definitivamente en la calle Fuencarral de Madrid, resistiendo a la presión inmobiliaria del emergente eje comercial. Aquí desarrolló una trayectoria artística única, radical, obsesiva y ajena a los circuitos mercantiles y académicos. El propósito de esta Fundación no es únicamente custodiar un legado, sino garantizar la continuidad de este espacio como núcleo de exposición, investigación, encuentro y producción cultural. Este es un lugar que recoge la memoria de la artista, pero también abierto a nuevas lecturas, proyectos y formas de uso afines a la voluntad con la que fue creado.

Fuencarral 21 was the workplace of the artist Fanny Gonmar (Valdeajos de la Lora, 1922 — Madrid, 2018). Today, the Fanny Gonmar Foundation is committed to fulfill her wish to preserve both this space and her artistic legacy, comprising tens of thousands of paintings, poems, and writings — most of them unseen until now.
  After a life as a schoolteacher between her native Burgos and Mexico, Fanny Gonmar settled permanently on this street, resisting the pressure of the emerging commercial hub. Here she developed an artistic trajectory that was unique, radical, obsessive, and entirely removed from commercial and academic circuits. The purpose of this Foundation is not merely to safeguard her legacy, but to ensure the continuity of a site dedicated to cultural exchange, research, creation, and development. This is a place that preserves the memory of the artist, while remaining open to new interpretations, projects, and uses, in keeping with the spirit in which it was created.
